Kiana felt like she was swimming, lost in that warm regard, unable to think or move in any way that he didn't wish. She heard his soft voice fuzzily, echoingly in the back of her head as he smiled seductively and said, "Now about those chocolate pops......." Chpt 3, Teri Comes To Play ************************** Kiana {{...about those chocolate pops, what?}} the question repeated itself in Kiana's mind as she lazily drifted, caught up in the emotions that his dark, dark eyes and oh so soft voice were creating. On some level, she was aware that she should be fighting this, that she /could/ fight this...but she'd never been good at resisting her favourite vampire. {{Now if it was someone like LaCroix...}} she thought, a hint of nervousness in her eyes as thoughts of the Master vampire floated into her mind. It was like being hit by a dose of cold water and she blinked and pulled away from the startled Vachon. {{What the hell?}} Vachon wondered, as he watched Kiana pull away from him and look around nervously. {{Whats gotten into her, she's not normally this jumpy.}} "Kiana...?" he asked softly, taking a step closer to her, abandoning the idea of the chocolate pops for now, still a touch nervous to find out what she'd done to them. "Kizzi?" Kiana looked around nervously. "Vachon...we are safe here, right?" she asked, hating the slight quaver in her voice. She couldn't help it, she'd never gotten along well with LaCroix, and there was no Renee here to distract him now. Kiana adored Vachon, but she wasn't sure exactly how well he got along with LaCroix. "I mean...other vampires, like LaCroix, they aren't going to just...show up, right?" The look in Vachon's eyes changed to one of understanding. Many mortals, with the exception of those like Renee, who held a deep fascination with him, feared LaCroix. Luckily, Vachon's current relationship with LaCroix was a pretty good one. "Don't worry Kiana," he stepped closer to her. "LaCroix won't hurt you. And besides, he's busy at the moment. He may show up...but he's more likely to visit Renee than he is to come and visit us." He was pleased when the mortal relaxed again, and her usual bright smile came back. "You're probably right," she nodded. "I'm worrying over nothing." {{At least, I hope I am}} she added to herself. She wasn't about to bring the subject up again with Vachon, but she didn't fully trust LaCroix. {{Goddess, lets hope he goes to see Renee}} she thought, a slight smile gracing her face as she imagined that. "Now..." Vachon said, still determined to get the full story of these chocolate pops out of her. He let Kiana get away with alot more than he let most people, but she /was/ going to tell him about this, no matter how long it took. Kiana seemed equally determined to avoid the question and she turned to see where they were. Vachon's directions had taken them away from where they landed and they could see the midnight blue sky, a deep blue background for the twinkling crystalline stars, and the perfect full moon. She turned to smile at Vachon, watching him bathed in the moon's glow, a perfect setting for her vampire friend. Kiana loved the night, loved the moon, could spend hours looking up at the stars. Vachon smiled back at her, pleased that she seemed happy, knowing she would like this place. He stepped up to her and wrapped his arms around her waist. Relaxing, Kiana rested her head on his shoulder. "Aww, cute..." a friendly and slightly amused voice spoke from behind them. Both of them turned, even Vachon hadn't been paying enough attention to hear footsteps of any kind. A playful smile crossed Kiana's face, as Vachon started to look wary. "Isn't enough that you got the Vachon pops," she teased as Teri came over to join them. "You had to follow me and share the real thing huh? You get Miklos to give you a lift?" "Yeah," Teri smirked. "And...well...what can I say...Two's Company...Three's more fun..." she grinned at her friend. Kiana laughed and shifted so she was only occupying one side of Vachon, letting Teri snuggle in and take the other side. Vachon was looking bemused and off balance, which didn't happen very often. He looked down at his two favourite mortals and wondered just what he'd gotten himself into, noting the gleams in both sets of eyes. They both looked so pretty, but he had no idea where this was going. "So," Teri said conversationally to Kiana. "Kizzi, did you actually /tell/ him what you did to those chocolate pops..." she asked amused. "And I added a bit before I left," she smirked again. Kiana grinned back. "I /was/ looking forwards to /showing/ him till you got here," she pouted. "And anyway, what did /you/ do to them?" she teased. "Maybe we should show him," Teri avoided the question. She turned innocent looking eyes up to Vachon. "What do you think Vach...?" ************
