Taken from the "Vachon & Kiana Saga" pt 1 ************************************ Kiana "Oh damn...Vachon...can't we go back?" Kiana asked him pleadingly, opening blue eyes wider in hope, unwilling to leave Teri with her chocolate Vachon pops, despite being cradled in the strongs arms of the real thing. Vachon smiled down at one of his favourite mortals but shook his head. "Kiana...forget it...we go back, we'll get caught by the ice-water vat...so far we've both escaped it...but I'm not tempting fate. So don't sulk," Vachon said firmly, and then ignoring Kiana's protests, set them down well out of the way. Kiana pouted at the loss of her chocolate Vachon pops before Teri's last comment and the close proximity of her fave male vampire combined to put some...interesting thoughts in her head. "Vach...." she whispered with a suggestive smile, running her hands along his chest. "I'll stop sulking on one condition..." she whispered her condition in his ear. He pulled back momentarily to look at her. If vampires could blush, Kiana was convinced her would be tomato colored. She smiled at him, and waited till he reached for her...his... "Wait a minute.....she sounded awfully concerned for my well-being," Vachon said cautiously. "What exactly did you DO to those chocolate pops?" "Oh, nothing to be worried about," Kiana replied smoothly trying to wiggle herself loose from his gentle grip,"You heal quickly. Don't you trust me?" Vachon visibly relaxed.....a little, but still kept her from snuggling any closer. "Of course I trust you. You're one of my favorite mortals. But on the other hand, Teri has always been a good friend, too, and has always looked out for my best interests." He chewed thoughtfully on his lower lip, studying her intently through slightly narrowed brown eyes. Unable to withstand the intensity of his gaze, Kiana melted in his grasp, losing herself and her ability to think rationally in the molten brown depths. She didn't even notice his fleeting smirk as he realized that once again he was in complete control. *These mortals* he thought, chuckling silently to himself, *are SO predictable!* As she quit struggling, Vachon released his grip and pulled her against his side, one arm draped comfortably across her shoulders as they walked slowly around the perimeter of the clearing. The huge castle hulked darkly on the other side of the moat, and the vampire eyed it speculatively. So many interesting people could be found inside its mysterious walls, it was no wonder he enjoyed coming to visit. Never a dull moment. Kiana seemed perfectly content for the moment snuggled against him, her head resting on his shoulder, and he smiled affectionately down at her while gently preventing her from redirecting their path. He carefully deflected their slow unhurried steps *away* from the cover of the thick stand of trees encircling the clearing, choosing to stay out in the open, bathed in the glow of the full moon. With his free hand under her chin he tilted her face up so he could again look deeply into those blue, blue eyes. Kiana felt like she was swimming, lost in that warm regard, unable to think or move in any way that he didn't wish. She heard his soft voice fuzzily, echoingly in the back of her head as he smiled seductively and said, "Now about those chocolate pops......."
