Castle Twilight

Sitting in the half-lit gloom of the Vat control room, Abra was 
typically oblivious to the greater part of the goings on in the rest of 
the castle. However, she had noted that there had been notably less 
meltdown alerts than usual. 
  
Giving an 'ah, who cares' shrug, she took another bite of her 
cheesecake, and went about putting the finishing touches on her latest 
Project. 
  
People walking past the door were entertained by thuds, clangs, 
muttering, and various other sounds. 
  
"This goes here, that goes there...oo..ack! Ergh! Ouch!" 
  
"I wonder if Abra's modifying the Vat again?" someone asked. "Ah, who 
knows?" was the reply. 
  
In the control room of the Vat, Abra sneezed[1]. Sniffing, Abra closed 
the access panel she had been fiddling with. "Stupid dust... 
*muttermutter*. There, all done." 
  
After beaming proudly at her accomplishment for a moment, Abra's smile 
turned to a wicked grin, as she bounced over, and jumped into her 
control chair. The purple haired girl pressed a button and all the 
normally dark monitors in the control room came to life, displaying 
inside and outside veiws of the Castle from all angles. 
  
Flipping open a new panel on the chair revealed a small purple button. 
With a cackle the could be heard all over the Castle, Abra pushed the 
button. 
  
At first nothing happened, then, the sky around the Castle rippled, and 
distorted, darkening to a deep blue-violet, enshrouding the Caslte in 
perpetual twilight. 
  
Abra leaned back in her chair, and with a look like a cat that ate the 
canary, said, "Ninmu kanryou.[2]"

[1] - I don't know about anything else, but sneezing when you're being talked 
about is a common thing in anime and manga. 
  
[2] - "Mission accomplished."
