Previously.......Revelations: part 6 
(even though they had started the evening at Nat's apartment--they went to 
Nick's without telling any of us) 
  
Lacroix had entered Nick's loft and stood at the foot of the bed, behind 
Nick. Nat grabbed the topsheet and quickly covered herself. 
  
And so the story goes: 
Natalie slapped her hand to her forehead and demanded, "Who in the hell 
invited you??" 
  
Lacroix gazed at her silently for what seemed like an eternity and then 
turned his attention towards Nick. He sneered and said dryly, "I know when 
my children need me." 
  
Nick spun around on his heel and growled, "I don't need you...not now, not 
ever!" Raising his voice he added, "Get out, and get out now!" 
  
"Nicholas," he purred, "my child, it was obvious you needed me. Why couldn't 
you be a man and give a woman what she wanted?" He raised his eyebrows, "She 
was begging you....do you hear me? She was begging you to take her." 
  
Nick sputtered, "I....I know what she was saying. I heard her, I was there, 
remember? I knew that if I did, there would be no turning back. My Nat 
would no longer be the warm........ 
  
"Stop right there! 'Your' Nat? I am still here in case you two haven't 
noticed," snapped Natalie as her beautiful hazel eyes flashed in anger as the 
two vampires turned to stare at her. She started sobbing, "Look at me; I am 
here, Nick. I am here for you. What is it going to take to make you love 
me? What? Tell me now, Nick." Tears rolled down her flushed cheeks as she 
whispered softly, "Why won't you love me? I want you....I want to be with 
you, I love you!" 
  
He sat down on the bed beside her, the beast within him contained, and 
stroked her tousled chestnut hair. He took her chin in his hand, gently 
wiped away her tears, gazed longingly into her eyes and replied softly, "I do 
love you...." 
  
Lacroix interruped the Kodak moment and glanced out towards the writer and 
said, "That's enough...send this mess on over to Cia and let her handle this 
properly! "
