Challenge, Parts 1 & 2 By: danu40k @ rocketmail.com The challenge: What if Nick had never met up with the pipe bomb. Had never met Natalie. Never joined the force. How would this have affected the characters. I DO own Danu. I DO NOT own LaCroix, Jannette, or Nickolas. I ask that my pervious posting of parts one and two, be replaced with this. Permission to post: Mel's site and the Cousin Mary's Dark Perk site. Part One of Two. The House of LaCroix By Stephni Warner aka Danu Geas'son danu40k@rocketmail.com March 4, 2000 He goes to the archives. While reaching, he pauses, then takes down a smaller tome. Taking it over to his desk, he opens it. Taking quill in hand, he begins to write. June, Nineteen Hundred and Niney-Two C.E. After walking the thin edge of Ockam's Razor for so long, Nickolas deBrabant, of the House of LaCroix, has finally left his father by walking into the sun. His courage, and sense of morality, shall be missed by all. LaCroix is mad with grief. He has already gone on one killing spree, and unless Jannette can calm him down, the Enforcers will be called in. His actions have already brought unwanted attention from the police. They are starting a special squad to track of this new serial killer. July, Nineteen Hundred and Ninety - Two C.E. LaCroix, in his madness, has killed several members of the special squad as well as the coroner in charge of the investigation. The Community has branded him Renegade, and will have nothing more to do with him now. July, Nineteen Hundred and Ninety - Two C.E. The Enforcers have come. In their anger, they have not only killed LaCroix, but his daughter as well. His madness has brought attention to the Community here. In order to survive, the Council has demanded that both Canada, and the upper regions of the United States, be abandoned until further notice. Such a waste. Although LaCroix and I rarely got along, I shall miss him. He has been apart of my life sinse before he was brought across. As time moves on, I am finding that there are fewer of my peers with which to reminisce. Challenges are becoming fewer and further apart. And I fear the day when there will be no one left to talk to... to chalenge me. So ends the House of Lacroix He closes the book reverently. Taking a book seal, he binds the book . He takes the candle, and tipping over places wax on the ends. Removing his signal ring, he seals the book on the House of LaCroix.
