He had a Roman General which wouldn’t leave him alone; 
He tried to give his master away, 
He sent him with a man going far, far away.

Lacriox came back; they thought he was a goner; 
But Lacroix came back, he just couldn’t stay away.

He waited and waited for Lacroix to come around, 
Ninety-seven pieces of the man is all they found.
