Be Careful What You Ask For (2/?)

"Yes...that's right...please keep your distance....." Sherri said
coolly. Nick took a large step backwards to give her the space she requested.

"Why were you weeping? Did someone hurt you??" he spoke softly.

Sherri, after wiping the tears from her eyes,  lifted her head up but
without making eye contact, spoke to the handsomest piece of blondeness
to be  within the vampire community and said, "I was just violated by one of 
your vampy buddies....Vachon, he...he..." she stammered, still avoiding eye 
contact.  

"What did he do Sherri?...you can tell me and maybe I can fix what he did 
wrong..." Nick asked.  

"He...he....kissed me and put his dirty-rotten-bloodsucking tongue down
my mortal throat....and he stole my holywater pistol!  How can you fix
that Nick?  And don't come any closer to me....keep all your parts where
I can see 'em!!"

"Sherri, it was wrong of Vachon to do that to you....I will speak to
him.  He will never treat you like this again.....I guarantee it!" Nick said 
as convincingly as he could. Somewhere in the castle a loud crashing could 
be heard.  Startled, Sherri forgot herself and looked directly into Nick's 
china blue eyes. Suddenly, she was unaware of time or place.  She heard 
Nick's voice and she was unafraid.

"Sherri, you will forget what Vachon has done to you....forget
Sherri......forget. It never happened.  One thing Sherri, you will never
harm or hurt me.....you love me and I love you......you are mine."

As Nick ended her trance, she fell forward into his arms.  When she
opened her eyes, she jumped back and away from Nick.  "What the hell
were doing you blood sucking fiend from hell??" she yelled at Nick.

"Sherri, you fainted...that's all... and I didn't want you to hit the
marble floor and crack your head open!" he recovered nicely.

"Just leave me alone!" and she ran down the hallway to the library.
