Be Careful What You Ask For (1/?) ********************************** by Teri 8/30/00 A few days ago Sherri came to the sad conclusion that she probably would not be able to keep up with the Fanatics' mailing list after she became over-burdened with RL and school. In farewell, she left us with this little morsel..... You know I can't resist an open door..... Bwahahahahahahaha! ************* <<< A saddened and lost vampire antagonist wanders through the quiet halls of the castle slowly looking over the place that has given her many a thing to laugh at. A heavy sigh is all that escapes her cool exterior to portray her true mood. She wonders to herself how she is going to be able to not be involved in this relaxing chaos everyday? But unfortunately on Friday, THIS Friday she will have to go to web posts only for who knows how long due her life now taking her into the College world. With another heavy sigh she heads to find the other fanatics and bid a fond temporary farewell. As she heads to find the other fanatics and their vampire friends she evidently doesn't take a turn wide enough and bumps her hip where her water pistol of holy water sits, still full. Hmmmmm.......does she feel like going out with a bang? What the hell.... "Here Vampire, Vampire, Vampire, How about one last shower? . >>> * * * * * * * The sharp hearing of a vampire is not going to let something like that go unnoticed and curiosity made him investigate. Sensing her proximity he stopped, lurking in the shadows out of sight of mortal eyes as she came around the corner and walked past him, completely oblivious to his presence. He almost gave himself away with the ironic laugh that he barely controlled in time. He could have grabbed her with ease and she never would have known what hit her! He noted her fiesty stance and the searching expression on her face, her hand hovering above the grip of her water pistol. He couldn't Feel the holy water from here but he knew her and her reputation as the Castle Vamp Antagonist and had to suppress another chuckle. So the innocent little mortal child was playing a game. She wanted one final little challenge, did she? He nodded to himself as he decided just how rough to play it, orneriness making the deep brown eyes sparkle and bringing out the dimple to play on his cheek. The sun wasn't quite down yet, he had some time to kill before he could safely join his Fanatic friends in the courtyard where they were already gathering for their nightly get-together/gabfest. He shadowed her silently down the hall, marveling once again at how easy it was to sneak up on a mortal, even the ones who considered themselves "hunters". "Ohhhhh, Vampires.....Come out, come out wherever you a--!" The last part of her taunting sentence ended in a surprised squeak as strong arms snaked around her from behind, pinning her arms to her sides and lifting her right off her feet. Cool breath tickled her ear as a soft voice purred.... "You called?" Her involuntary scream was muffled by the deceptively slender hand that was clamped tightly over her mouth and she began to thrash violently, kicking and flailing for all she was worth. *Sheesh!* he thought, if she didn't settle down she might manage to hurt herself, and that was not his intention! He allowed her to free one arm which she promptly used to rip his hand away from her mouth, and she twisted around to face him. "Vachon!!!" She snarled, nose to nose with him. "You #$%@#$!!!! LET ME GO!!" He laughed outright at her as he easily recaptured the freed arm and clamped his hand back over her mouth. "Shhhhhhh...."he soothed, never losing that infuriatingly smug smirk. "What would Teri think to hear her niece using such language??" He had to laugh at *that* himself. He knew damn well that Teri had probably *taught* her niece most of that language! Instead of quieting she thrashed harder, nearly throwing them both off balance. He would have no choice but subdue her. Her peripheral vision caught a glimpse of golden eyes as he allowed her to feel the sharpness of his fangs against her neck without actually breaking the skin. Wisely, she stopped fighting but even though she physically ceased her struggles, the naked fury still gleamed from her eyes. This one was too much like Teri, he thought, not enough sense to be frightened when she should be. He chuckled again, infuriating her that much more. "Such a little Hellcat," he teased. "So the little mortal kitten wanted to play with vampires? And *what*...." he used her own captured hand to indicate the holy water pistol without letting her grab it,"....were you planning on doing with this?" She growled something unintelligible into his hand, anything BUT cowed or subdued. "So fierce, little kitten?" he asked, still in that aggravating velvet voice, KNOWing how badly she hated that term. "Even with Death at your throat?" At that she snorted in obvious contempt and rolled her eyes expressively. He released his grip on her mouth. "You aren't gonna hurt me!" she said in a disgusted tone of voice. "Teri would skin you alive!" He laughed. "She might want to, but...." he shrugged, "She's easily....uh.... distracted." "Yeah?" Sherri challenged. "Well, *I'M* not!!!" "Oh no??" His ornery smirk turned into a downright wicked grin and before she had a chance to register what he was planning to do, he'd completely covered her mouth with his own, kissing her deeply and sensually, his cool tongue caressing hers. He felt her recoil, felt her squirming desperately to get away but held her there for a few more maddening seconds. When he finally released her, his ornery smirk and dimple were back in place, his brown eyes dancing. "Well, one thing for sure...." he said as she speechlessly stared at him in horrified shock. "At your next birthday party nobody can say you're sweet 19 and never been kissed!" In the next second he was gone with a *whoosh* leaving her staggering in an empty corridor, her furious curses blistering the air where he'd just been. "PAGGGH!!!" she spat in nauseated disgust."Bleahhhh! Yelllchhh!!!" She continued gagging and swearing, wiping her mouth against her shoulder and seriously considering sticking her tongue out and dragging it across the fabric of her sleeve to rid herself of the taste and feel of his kiss. Oh....GAWD!!!!! She hated vampires!!!!! How could Teri *stand* that arrogant #$%@#&%$# ???? Then she realized he'd taken her water pistol with him. She almost sat right down in the hallway and cried in her fury and disgust. This was NOT turning out to be a good day at all. With a heavy sigh and a heavier heart she turned to go out to the courtyard to spend her last evening with her friends at the Castle. "Sherri? Are you okay?" The unexpected voice behind her and the gentle hand on her shoulder made her leap almost out of her skin with an undignified squawk and she whirled to find herself face to face with Nick Knight, his blue eyes dark with genuine concern. "It is 'Sherri', isn't it?" ********** To be continued...? :o)
