On April 1, 2000 the following message was posted to the 4everknightfanatics mailing list. It didn't cause MUCH of a stir on-list, for everyone knew Deanie too well to believe it. Well, maybe not *everyone*........ Changing Affiliations By: DeanieFK You know, while writing this fanfic story for Renee (in which LaCroix is the good guy), I've been doing a lot of thinking. LaCroix really is quite attractive, with his piercing blue eyes and sexy voice. He has a very strong presence, very smart and commanding. In contrast, Nick really is a weenie. He's an angsty wimp with no hope of ever getting over himself. How could I have ever liked him? Therefore, I am renouncing my status as a Knightie, and declaring myself to be a devoted follower of LaCroix. Pass the Nunkiespops, please. Deanie devoted Nunkies Addict *************************** It was a dark and stormy night as Valerie sat in her room. The castle was quiet except for the sounds of coughing from the colds everyone caught thanks to Abra and her handy dandy Vat. The glow of the computer screen mesmerized her as she finally read her last piece of unread e-mail. There was a loud crash near her door, and she turned to find that a certain 2000 year old general had knocked over her collection of Barbra Streisand records. "Lacroix, what the hell are you doing in my bedroom?" Valerie asked in a calm voice. Lacroix looked at her with an amused expression and said, "Barbra Streisand???" "Don't ask...it was a phase I went through a long time ago." "And yet you still keep them?" "Shut up! I don't listen to them anymore. Now are you going to tell me why you are in my bedroom at 1:15 a.m.?" "Actually...I was looking for Deanie, I thought she might be in here helping you write one of your fluffy little Nicholas and the dear Doctor stories." "Deanie??? You are looking for Deanie???" "Yes, haven't you heard? She has given up her trivial little Nicholas obsession and moved on to better things...me," the ancient vampire stated smugly. Valerie thought to herself. An idea popped into her mind. A brilliant idea. "Lacroix...Deanie is right through that door." she said as she pointed to the door near the corner of her room. "Just go through there and you'll find her." Lacroix walked through the door and turned around as Valerie slammed the door shut and locked it. It sure was a good thing she had built that handy vampire cell with the garlic and holy water covered walls as a safety precaution! She gleefully ran back to the computer and pulled up the little IM box she had minimized right before LC had walked into her room. "Deanie," she typed, "I've got LC...do you have that tutu ready?" Buahahahahahahaha Valerie
