filk by Stephni July 4, 2001 Okay kiddies, the Castle's Filk Mistress is about to strike again. Yeah, yeah, I know, it's been awhile. My mulish muse keeps giving me problems. Now in keeping with my tradition of using obscure songs nobody has heard of, (I still can't believe you never heard of "I've Been Working On The Railroad". I mean it's a classic children's song.) I am going with a song by the Kingston Trio (and known to S.C.A. ers) called "With Her Head Tucked Underneath Her Arm". I am keeping the song basically the same just changing the names, so here goes: With Her Head Tucked Underneath Her Arm In the castles tower large as life, the ghost of Nicky's gal walks they decare. For Gersgal was once Nicky's #1, till LC had the headsman bob her hair. Ah yes he did her long long months ago, and she come out at night to tell him so. Chorus: With her head, tucked underneath her arm, she walks the bloody tower. With her head tucked underneath her arm, at the midnight hour. She comes to haunt LaCroix, she means giving him whatfore. Gadzukes she's going to tell him off, she's feeling very sore. And just incase the headsman wants to give her an encore, She has her head tucked underneath her arm. Chorus Sometime's ol' LaCroix gives a spread, for all his pals and gals and nightly crew. The headsman carves the joint and cuts the bread, when in comes Nicky's gal to queer the due. She holds her head up with a wild war woop, and Mommy 'Nay cries don't drop it in the soup. Chorus One night she caught Lacroix, in the canteen bar, said he "Are you Knighteyes/Betsy, Gersgal or mad Dr. Deanie Oh how the *#&% do I know who you are.... With your head tucked underneath your arm.
