DEATH POOL 2007
< ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
Death Pool 2007 rules are as follows:

Each participant submits to the Undertaker (
by e-mail) ten names of "celebrities" he or she thinks will snuff it in 2007.  These lists are posted to this site using participants' first names and last initials for reference.

Whether a submission qualifies as a "celebrity" looks to a totally arbitrary standard of "national", which the Undertaker is too lazy to define.  You'll be told if a submission lacks celebrity in the mind of the Undertaker, and be allowed to re-submit.

When someone on a participant's list dies, he or she is awarded points for the amount of years short of 100 at which the celebrity assumed room temperature.  Age on the day of death controls.  If Gerald Ford had died on his 94th birthday, six points would be awarded to the correct submitter (even if he was born later in the day 94ish years ago).

When a dead celebrity is unique to a single participant, double points are awarded.

Submissions from new participants are welcome throughout the year, but the Undertaker, in his sole and absolute discretion, may disallow a submitted name if the submitter had information unavailable to previous entrants.  In such cases, re-submissions will be allowed.  Otherwise, once posted, the submissions are irrevocable.

Standings will be published on the main page as list members croak.  Whoever has the most points at after Midnight (CST), New Year's Eve 2007, will be the winner.  In the event of a tie, a tiebreaker will be devised based on which tied player gave the Undertaker the nicest gift.
