Why does the heart weep?
Does it look for someone to keep?
Would it find someone to hold all nigh?
Someone to make it just and right?
But, the heart grows cold in time.
After all the love and rhyme,
Have crushed it down in size.
Slowly at first and then faster.
Colder and colder now you've lost her.
Stop, and look at what you've done.
All that's left is cold stone.
For now, she looks to the dark for comfort.
She becomes my dark lover.
With ivory fangs so sharp.
She sings to me the sound of the harp.
My heart she steals with a kiss.
My world she fills full of bliss.
My life is full of tranquility.
And, all my dreams are washed out to sea.
I've become the darkness I've dwelt in.
Now I no longer have any kin.
The Humans have killed them all.
Even my beautiful lover, so dark and tall.
So, why does the heart weep?
