Dorothy K. Douglas Native of Oklahoma City
BLACKSBURG – Dorothy Kizziah Douglas, 69, of 180 Bear Creek Rd.,
died Saturday, April 28, 2001, at her home.
A native of Oklahoma City, Okla., she was the wife of Russell Douglas and daughter
of the late Ike and Thelma Allen Kizziah.
She attended Eastside Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are six sons, Larry Stroup,
Ricky Stroup and John Douglas, all of Blacksburg, Clarence Douglas of Bonifay, Fla.,
Donald Douglas of Anniston, Ala., and William Douglas of Seattle, Wash;
three daughters, Pamela Wells of Lawton, Okla.,
Essie Dove of Vista, Calif., and Carol Stacy of Blacksburg;
20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Douglas was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Stroup.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Clingman Memorial Gardens
with the Rev. Lucky Earls officiating.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7-9 at White-Columns Funeral Service,
Blacksburg, and other times will be at the home.
