The Story Behind the Man:
    Darien Winner was an astounding child. At the age of 11, he left his comfrotable aristocratic rich home to live life on his own. Because there was a war waging when Darien left, he bought a mobile suit for protection. He thought of hiring a man to pilot it for him, but he got homesick, and attempted to reach his home once more.
    But Darien had problems on his way home. He couldn't get his mobile suit through customs! At that point, the people in the Colonial Militia heard that a man named Darien Winner had tried to get back to the L-Four colony (his place of birth) with a mobile suit. They beleived that he was the decendant of Quatre Winner (which he was not) and drafted him into the military.
    Darien did not quite understand what was happening at first. He also didn't want to, because he knew that if he did, he would have to sacrifice his comfortable life. But Darien honed his skills and eventually, at age 12, reached peak status of the Colonial Militia, because of his shrewdness and military tactic ability. That was the year After Colony 297.
    Darien stayed at that position for three years. Darien, now fifteen, has not completely resigned from the title but has stepped down and attempted at a normal life as a computer programmer for a small business software company. Now, he might have to go back to war once again..
