Vol V page 305 Will of Robert Frier of Fayette County gives to beloved wife Jane Frier her lawful part of all the estate, and desires that his wife should remain on the tract of land whereon she now lives, free from rent for her third part of all the land, during her natural life or widowhood, provided she shall not destroy the timber in any way except for the real use of the farm; after her death, to sold on basis of 1/4 down, 1/2 in 12 months, and the remainder two years. Money arising to be divided as hereafter named. To son Robert Frier, the tract of land whereon Robert now lives, containing 120 acres, on Flatt Creek in Bath County. To son David Frier, $1.00 and no more as he has already recieved his full share of the estate. To daughter Nancy Arnold and daughter Elizbeth Arnold, the tract of land whereon they now live in Galltin County, containing about 327 acres, to be equally divided among them so that each shall hold her own improvement.. Lends to Thomas Welch and Polly Welch his wife the tract of land whereon they now live, in Bath County, during their natural life, and after their decease to be sold and the money divided as hearafter name. To son James Frier, $1,000.00, To daughter Peggy Vallandingham, 350.00. To daughter Jane Reed 350.00. To daughter Parthenia Eastlin, 350.00. To daughter Leah Miller, $350. Old York is to have his choice to dwell with any of the testator's children or wife, if they shall see cause to take him, and take care of him during his life, and be no way accountable to the rest of the heirs for any services he may render. |
