Star and Jack

We began March with a trip to Chattanooga to visit with Starr, Bruce, and Dar's grandmother. Our evening at Starr's home on Lookout Mountain was a delight, from Dar's dinner of salmon in parchment to sitting on the deck sipping single malt scotch under the stars as the spring breezes played the windchimes. Dar and I found gold rings at the Antiques show downtown and we took photos on the pedestrian bridge.

We made a trip to Savannah for St. Patrick's Day, and Darryl attended the Lipton Tennis Tournament in Key Biscayne where our friend Lindsay Lee won one round.

As April began, we drove up to Amicolola Falls (highest east of the Mississippi) and spent two days and nights hiking, shopping and dining in Dahlonega, and gazing at the awesome comet Hale-Bopp. The long weekend there was literally a breath of fresh air.

Later In April we returned to New Orleans, and visited with K.T. Nachod and Carol Mathias. We wined and dined at Commander's Palace (with Beth and Vickie), the Palace Cafe, the Camellia Grill, Irenes, to name a few, and heard music at the Rock and Bowl while playing the worst bowling games in recent memory. It was a full four days and Darryl was the hit of the conference.
