Bush campaigns rather
than guide nation forward
I wish the media would rebroadcast the speech Vice President Dick Cheney gave where he told us:
The Iraqis were going to welcome us with open arms.
Their oil was going to pay the bill for their country's reconstruction and wasn't going to cost us a dime.
How many more young men and women are going to die?
The Red Cross informed the powers-that-be that prisoners were being mistreated months ago and now the Bush administration is shocked at the behavior of our jailers. What can we expect of a leader who's been campaigning for re-election the past three years instead of guiding the nation from the White House?
