Highlights of Accomplishments 1st Semester 2001
Food Security Stocks
As of June 30, 2001 the region has a total rice equivalent inventory of
189,109 bags equivalent to last for 19 days based on the region's daily rice
consumption requirement of 42,258 bags.
The region's food security stock requirement is 319,881 bags,
as of end of June there was a surplus of 469,228 bags.
Palay Procurement
345,120 bags of palay (un-husked rice) was produced, or an accomplishment of 168.93% of the first semester target. This accomplishment is 433% higher than last year's first semester performance of 64,732 bags.
Rice Distribution
Total rice distributed during the period was 227,050 bags which is 59.86% of the target. This performance is 32% higher than the quantity distributed for the same period last year. On rice distribution thru GMA Programs, the following are the accomplishments:
Coconut
Farmers Food Access Program (CFFAP) as of June 30, 2001.
- 121 rice outlets were set-up regionwide covering 12,537 coconut
farmers. A total of 934 bags was distributed
Targeted
Rice Distribution Program (TRDP)
- 62 rice outlets were set-up serving 5,228 families. 1,894 bags of
rice was sold through this program as of June 2001.
DA-DND
MOA
- 3 rolling stores were fielded to serve DND families in
identified military camps.
Certified Seeds Procurement, Distribution and PNPL Collection
P 26.0 M CS fund for rice seeds procurement was received as of June 2001
10,541 bags was procured or 22% accomplishment against the total target of 47,427 bags.
10,236 bags was distributed during the semester, 10,231 bags under the 50-50 scheme and 1 bag on cash basis.
P 1,851,109.13 or 19.08% of the region's exposure of P 9,699,938.24 was collected under the Plant Now Pay Later loan as of June 30, 2001.
