DA-PQS inaugurates P3M Building

The Plant Quarantine Service office in Bacolod City recently moved from the provincial capital area to Barangay 39, Bacolod City.

Inaugurated last January 7, 2009 with Secretary Atty. Arthur C. Yap as the guest of honor, Regional Executive Director Larry P. Nacionales and local officials of Neg. Occ.

500 Rice farmers finish SOA on PalayCheck System

500 rice farmers graduated on the SOA, PalayCheck System aired from 4:00-4:30 am over DYRI-RMN 774 khz. last September to December 2008.

Mr. Louie Banias of barangay Aglusong, Concepcion, Iloilo, on his testimony said that he got 91 sacks produced on his 1 hectare riceland through the use of compost fertilizer.

Dr. Ildefonso Toledo, provincial agriculturist of Iloilo challenged the farmer-graduates to become partners of the government in pursuing agricultural development in their respective areas.

Ms. Juvy Silario Gaton, OIC-Chief, RAFID 6 and Mr. Edgar Oyson hosted  the SOA.

Ms. Ylimea I. Olanday, Mr. Victorico Nabor, Mr. Edgar Baylon, Mr. Manuel Olanday and Ms. Roselyn Curioso were the professors/specialists of the program.
