MUDVAYNE |
|
|
|
First band to play, and a great one to start off with. Although their set was only 30 min. long, they played hard and gave it all they got. They played such songs as Dig, Death Blooms, Not Falling, and a couple others. The only disappointing thing with them is that the sound wasn't very good and it was hard to understand. Even though it was raining during them, that didn't stop anyone from going out and getting wild. Mudvayne was an enjoyable band to watch.

DEFTONES |

Second band to play, they played for about 40 min.. The only truly disappointing band there. These are the guys who said they will blow metallica away with their performance, and I found it very boring. Chino just stood around and was either using an obnoxious scream or just moaning. The only song they played that I sorta liked was Change(in the house of flies), even though that still sucked I thought. They too had some bad sound quality. |

LINKIN PARK |

Third band to play, they played for an hour These guys surprised me by putting on a great show, even though I can't really get into their stuff. They played their "heaviest" stuff to try to fit in with the atmosphere. Really the only song I enjoy from them is With You, but they screwed it up by making it "reanimation" style. They got the floor going crazy, but some of us people in the stands sat through them. I found it funny when Mike Shinoda said "All you crazy mother fuckers on the floor show those people in the stands what you think of them" and a couple thousand middle fingers flew up in our direction. Chester's scream sounds a lot better live than on their albums, and overall i was impressed by them |

LIMP BIZKIT |

Fourth band to play, they played for an hour. I was actually looking foward to see Fred live. They put on a great show too, but didn't play many songs, cuz fred was too busy talkin and stuff. I was disappointed to only hear 1 song off of their first album, and that was Faith. They opened with Hot Dog and got the crowd pumped I thought it was stupid for them to cover Metallica's song Welcome Home(Sanitarium) cuz metallica were coming up after them and played it too. There were also lots of people on the floor throwing stuff trying to hit Fred, no one seems to like this man. But they put on a good show and we got into it now and then. |

METALLICA |

Finally! After waiting through Deftones, Linkin Park, and Limp Bizkit, we were ready to hear some real metal. They put on one hell of a show, of course. Lots of explosions and pyrotectonics. They played mostly all of their old, fast stuff, which pleased me. They opened with Battery and played other speed/thrash songs from there on. They had 2 encores, which was cool too. Their setlist was....Battery, Master of Puppets, Harvestor Of Sorrow, Welcome Home(Sanitarium), For Whom The Bell Tolls, Frantic, Sad But True, St. Anger, No Remorse, Seek & Destroy, Blackened, Fuel, Nothing Else Matters, Creeping Death, One, and Enter Sandman. I got in without them taking away my camera and took lots of pictures, hopefully they will come out, then i will put them on this site. We made friends with a couple drunks where we were too. This was the best day of my life....and prob. will always will be, untill the next time i see them again. |
