| Winter Moon (a poem by josie) The moon whispered One dark winter's night, Among the crackling leaves And bright starlight. So sad it's words Drifting in the winter's breeze. That the willow wept Along with the other trees, All fell frozen and silent and still, As the thought traveled in kind Invading their hearts, Lodging in their minds. Repeating the lament of its lunar tune, All understood the singleness Of this preeminent moon. It sighed three words only, For the moon whispered "I am lonely..." |
