| Dream House by Darcey Anne Farrow The calm sea and following wind Remind me of the warmth of home That special feeling you find you have Upon arriving in your abode, your place of residence A dwelling you have made your own It is comforting place, wherein your style shines Its functionality is for you alone. In my dream house The kitchen would be huge It would always be scented With fresh baked cinnamon cookies And garlic parsley bchamel sauce Fresh squeezed lemonade would pour from a spout on the fridge And the table would have room enough for 8. In my dream house The livingroom would be spacious It would have glass enclosed shelves To display my multitudes of LPS, videos and books The TV and stereo ready for use Many framed pictures of family, friends and heroes Would be hung on the walls there The sofas would soft, luxurious and inviting. In my dream house My bedroom would be large and lilac colored My canopy bed would be heart shaped And loaded with pillows My favorite books would be on a shelf near my bed So I could read myself to sleep A comfortable chair would be there In front of a fully stocked writing desk All set for me to pen my most intimate thoughts. In my dream house My sewing room would be loaded With all the sewing and crafting items My game room would have every board game ever made With a chess and checkers table ready for use. In my dream house There would be a fully enclosed deck That would look at over my massive back lawn So I could see the birds in the trees and my vegetable garden I would have no need nor want of anything Because all I could ever need and want Would be there in the care of me. | A note to all lyriclites: The poem "Dream House" came to me upon seeing the phrases, "The calm sea and following wind" and "the warmth of home." |

| The path you see leads right to my dream house. Come on in and stay. There is room for all as the bedrooms are plenty and the hot chocolate is overflowing. I can smell those cookies now. MMM! |

| Mister Monster Puppy by Darcey Anne Farrow On the floor of my little cabin On a round, cushiony braided rug Lays a tawny colored mutt with floppy ears and a curly tail He is my mister Monster Puppy. He is tired from a day of play For him a hard day's work of chasing squirrels and butterflies of running and jumping in the sun a wonderful time of fun. Now he sleeps and dreams away the Magnificent things he did today His stomach full, he has been satiated He has no want of anything more as he lays sleeping on the floor. Tomorrow when the sun does rise He will get up and let out a sigh Have a drink and bite to eat A new day for him will have begun Another day of playing out in the sun For Monster this is never a changing world. | Family by Darcey Anne Farrow From one generation to another Passes the rich history of each family The heritage, the culture, the friends Each family has their own uniqueness They come together in times of need They are there to help each other To laugh and cry together Life without family would be no life at all For they are the light In the darkness of loneliness. | Sleepy Time Music
by Darcey Anne Farrow On my island of Puerto Rico The night sky is always beauteous The nocturnal animals sing me to sleep With their melodious music The tree frogs hum Co-qui, Co-qui, Co-qui [koh-key] The birds of the darkness croon Trillo, trillo, trillo [tree-yo] The crickets say Rill, rill, rill [ree-el] Oh come alive, my soul! Without their soothing chants I cannot fall asleep. Springs bud gently blossoms to Summers glory Yet the night music remains the same Calm and quiet No worries, no cares, no thinking Just the relaxation of a luscious slumber. C. 9-20-05 |
