Welcome to the bio page of

Ms. Darcey Anne

About my name... I have never really liked the birth name that my mum gave to me so I decided to change it to what I use now.  Fact is, that it is my new legal name and it is what I prefer. Just picture fingernails going down a chalkboard and that is what I feel like when people use my old name.  Whatever you think of me I am:
Ms. Darcey Anne Farrow  [Darcey or Darce for short]
WAR HAS NO VALID PURPOSE; COUNTLESS DEATHS ARE PROOF OF THAT!
I am quad-lingual with English as my native language. French, Italian and Spanish are the other languages I speak.
I work as a lab monitor in a language lab and I am also a tutor for those languages.
I am a Christian, but I strongly want people to know that I have nothing against any age, color, race, religion, ecc.
I am a cook, a seamstress, and a writer of essays, plays, poems, short stories and song lyrics. I enjoy camping, crafting, fishing, reading and singing.  I enjoy spending time with my friends both local and online. I believe in recycling and not harming any creature.
I enjoy watching TV especially 7th Heaven, Are You Being Served?, Big Brother, Charmed, Crossing Jordan, Diagnosis Murder, The District, Family, Gilmore Girls, The Great Race, Judging Amy, Keeping Up Appearances, Law and Order 1, 2 & 3, The Medium, NYPD Blue, Queer Eye For the Straight Guy, The Summer and Winter Olympics, Survivor, and Touched By An Angel.
I am a member of the Live Poet's Society, an online poetry writing challenge club started by my good friends Beth and DeucesWlyde. If you are a poet and would like to join the challenge, follow this link:

I  enjoy all music save for Rap and Heavy Metal. Above all, I am a HUGE fan of Sr. John Denver Denver, POET extraordinaire, singer, songwriter and humanitarian. I have been a fan of his for 30 years and I would not have it any other way.
My favorite Sr. John Denver song, [though written by Steve Gillette and Tom Campbell] is and will always be "Darcy Farrow." It is a song that brings to my mind pictures of chivalry and knights in shining armour. it is for those that do not know that background music that is playing on this page. "Music makes pictures and often tells stories all of it magic and all of it true and all of the pictures and all of the stories and all of the magic the music is you."

My favorite albums are "Some Days are Diamonds" and "The Flower That Shattered the Stone." I consider myself lucky to have seen him in concert 11 times, one of which was a 14 hour round trip train ride to Richmond, Virginia.  I have collected his albums for many years getting enjoyment from everyone and although I never met a Sr. John Denver song I did not like, I do prefer some songs over others.
Sr. John Denver's words, his POETRY speaks volumes to me, much more than any other songwriter. He sang over 300 songs which is something very impressive to me. The high notes he was able to hit are enough enticement for me, especially since I sing alto and tenor. I do believe, however, that his life was cut way too short.
I always had this dream that he would be sitting on a stool, guitar in hand, microphone in front of him singing until his older years in life.  I also think that as he got older, his voice improved greatly.  I have had my share of ups and downs; some extremely happy and sad times and even a time in which I wished my life was over, but I do not think that anymore.
My second favorite musical artist is Barry Manilow.  I have many of his albums and I do cherish his music. It is akin to that of Sr. John Denver as it is very easy on the ears to listen to.
My other musical favorites are:
Air Supply
David & Shaun Cassidy
Cher
Chicago
The Beatles
The Beach Boys
The Carpenters
Judy Collins
The Eagles
Emmylou Harris
Journey
Reba McIntire
James & Kristy McNichol
Olivia Newton-John

Elvis Presley
Linda Ronstadt
Simon & Garfunkle
Rex Smith
Barbra Streisand
John Travolta
