This morning is perfect. There is not a sight of rain near any horizon. It is supposed to be near 85o today which is fine by me.
It is now 11:00 a.m. and we are setting up as I write. We are in front of the playground as the early birds got here long before we did.
We have moved four tables close by each other.  We have one table for food, one for my music set up and two for eating.

We are waiting for people to arrive.  Since we are all set up, we are going to play a few rounds of TV trivia with the cards I brought.
Beth and Terry
Michael noticed that the cards were dated 1984, however, we soon realized that the questions were from 1927 - 1970. oh Bother!
If we were playing for money we would have lost our shirts.  ;-) For the most part we looked to my mum for the answers.
Abby set up the croquet near the stream with the badminton and catch mitts out for people's use.
As the game goes we are noticing that we can only answer about 10% and mum -- somethings she knew and others she knew after the answer was read. In our defense, most of us were not born yet when these shows aired on TV.

TV trivia finished and now it is time for lunch.
Everything looks so good and we cannot wait to get eating.
We had baked ziti with meatballs, biscuits, chips BBQ and regular, coleslaw, corn on the cob, corn chips BBQ and regular, hamburgers, macaroni and cheese, macaroni salad, pasta and shrimp salad, pickles, roast chicken plain, BBQ and some KFC, rolls, and a salad of tomatoes, cucumbers and carrots, homemade iced tea, cranapplegrapejuice, 7up, citrus dew, cola, and rootbeer.
After lunch and some people have decided to go for a walk. Not me, my back would not appreciate that. We listened to JD all through the day.
JD CDS playlist:
Farewell Andromeda
2 rare JD songs CDs
Whose Garden Was This?
I Want to Live
Different Directions
Forever, John
Harbor Lights Concert
When the walkers returned, we split up to play the yard games.  We gave out our swaps [a JD large magnet, and two different recipe cards to everyone] and some folks had to get back "on the road." During the game of croquet, one ball fell into the drink. :-) The badminton players decided to see if the trees are able to return a birdie sent their way.  At one point the head of the birdie flew off from the shuttle and the lot had to go a-searching for both pieces.

After the yard games ended, we decided to play a game called Remeniscing, which has categories from the 1940s to the 1990s. Nobody wanted to hit the spinner at the 1940s especially since some of us were not born until the 1960s.
Julian was a very good baby who seemed to be in a good mood all day.
The croquet players decided that it was harder to hit the ending wicket stick then to go thru the underpasses.
We split up into teams of two players each with one team that had three players.  The idea of the game is to finish out each statement without getting any clues for 5 points, with one clue for 4 points down on 1 point or none if the guessing team cannot figure out what is being discussed. Team #2 of Donna and MarionS won with 17 points.
The time is now 5:35 p.m. and we are packing to leave. For those of you that were not there and especially those that had hoped to be there, but did not make it you were indeed thought of and missed.
Joan
The day we spent up at the Saratoga Spa State Park was beautiful. All that we did served as relaxation and renewal of our selves in body, mind and spirit.
