Chapter IV: Kalimdor, a land uncharted
My mind is weary... How I yearned to write down every single impression that came upon me while residing in these Elven lands. But alas, study, meetings, diplomacy. It all takes it's toll on an allready torn mind. I've been here for some three weeks now and this is the first entry I can bear myself to make in this journal of mine, my instrument of piecing together the fractions of hope I still cherish...
The Night Elves are strange creatures indeed, they seem peacefull, elegant and noble on the outside, this can well be, but I am beginning to see that in the heart of their society two poles are forming, each with an own agenda. Quite a lot of their kind are resentfull about the fact that the druids have squandered their
cherished immortality. Yet on the other side, had they not, the Burning Legion had consumed this world. On the other side of the scales are the druids, they are indeed noble, altruistic, yet perhaps a bit too much, or is it once again a cherade? ...much like the initial planting of Teldrassil... a desperate attempt to restore their immortality. As such their culture is on edge, most not willing to welcome creatures that in their eyes resemble the Man'ari. Luckily High Priestess Tyrande Whisperwind thinks otherwise...

Two weeks have passed once more, time seems to fly when one has to constantly bikker and argue to justify one's presance in this alien city. It is hard... I have been tested time and again, moved from city to city, my body as well as my mind tested for endurance and the discovery of personal limits, yet I will not fail! I shall prove my worthiness! by the Light!
My unwavering confidence has played it's part in my studies, I have learned the Common tongue of the Alliance of Lordaeron and as such have, together with lady Velustraa, pushed the acceptance of the Draenei people into the political debates of the Kaldorei people.
For this I am glad, I am sure we can teach them much, not fighting one and other, but finding the true inner peace needed to overcome the obstacles of irritation and the picking of random scapegoats.
Again it has been too long, not written anything down in my journl, busy with, everything but truely being alive. Luckily the worst parts of the ambassadorial job is behind us, Lady Valustraa has remained with Lady Whisperwind to further the relations between the Exodar and Darnassus, as for me... I've been assigned to field work, setting out to the mainland of the nearby continent known as Kalimdor.
The Night Elven harbor city of Auberdine is my next goal. I wonder what the creatures there have to tell me, wondrous tales... Though I doubt it'd be that wondrous... As I look out the window over the open sea a tight fog wraps itself around the ship it seems. The region Auberdine is located in has it's name aptly chosen: Darkshore... T' is indeed dark here, the water turns murky, treaturous. Luckily the captain has sailed these waters time and again, knowing where the devastating rocks jut from the sea surface and where passage is free.

When I think back on what we have acomplished so far, it is indeed a great deed. My heart is filled with anticipation on what Kalimdor will hold. The beauty, the riches. I can only vaguely remember Draenor before it was destroyed and turned to Outland, as the creatures here call it.
But soon I will see... The ship will dock soon and I will set my first hoof on a land pure, a land uncorrputed and a land of unending possibilities...
The first day in Darkshore has passed. I sit in the inn, weary of the talking with strangers, explaining what I am... Those few who appear friendly only seem to want to enlist me for dirty work. Culling the bear threat and the like. I did however meet a interesting new creature, it was called a dwarf and quite obsessed with fishing. Blump I believe it's name was.He asked me to help him catch Darshore Grouper, after that my ears fell to the tale he told of a stong allegiance of alliance heroes fighting the 'Horde' and protecting the right to live freely. They called themselves the Silverbrand Cohort, Blump said. It is something I need to remember... Therefor I am writing down these words. Tomorrow I'm venturing into
the Northern ruins. It seems some kind of tower stands there and a contact I was asked to meet...
Ah well, for now I think I have deserved a good Night's rest.
Another day will present itself tomorrow and I pray the Light it will be less gloomy then what I've seen today!
