Thaons are a very independent race, feeling very homely in their deserts of Quist, the only home the majority of the Thaonian race has ever known. The only other race the Thaons trust are the humans of neighboring empires, and occasionally a traveling dwarf. Quick to temper, the Thaons are known be all to be somewhat mean but always doing what they feel is right. Thaons are typically between 4�8� and 5�3�, with a strong thick build but slimmer then dwarves. Their weight ranges between 120 and 210 pounds, with some variations. Their hair grows extremely fast, usually being shades of dark brown. Females customarily wear their hair to their wastes, braiding it in several braids. Males wear their hair to their chests, having a single braid, unlike the females. They have thin piercing eyes of a tan that blends in with the desert sand, occasionally having darker brown or green eyes. Thaon�s ears are lower on their heads then humans, and noticeably smaller, typically hidden behind hair. The most obvious traits of the Thaons are their wings, being pure white and covered in feathers. Their wings appear too small to effectively lift them off the ground, but they do. |
