The Pasts We Wish We Didn’t Have: Part Three
Duo stared in disbelief. Heero reacted first and almost immediately. A gun flew from somewhere behind him and pointed directly at the man. The man, in return, turned his head towards Heero and smiled. “Go ahead, Jr. I dare you.” He winked at Heero and opened his arms, welcoming a bullet.
“Heero don’t.” Duo commanded, glancing at Heero to say it, and then turning back to the man, “But keep the gun on him.” Heero tightened his aim. “Ok, now let’s try this again. Who in the hell are you?”
The man said something, forcibly in a language no one in room understood, expect Duo, who responded, promptly and angrily, in the same language then realized what he had done. Quatre gasped. He and Trowa had stood up when the man had first spoken, now Quatre slumped and placed his hands to the table for support. Trowa quickly ducked to him. “Quatre?” he asked, concerned. Quatre shock it off and stood up again.
“The purer the heart, the more affected by pure language. Be happy you have sinned at all Quatre, or you would have died from the shock.”
“Pure language?” Quatre asked dimly.
“The language created by God and Adam.” Duo answered, shocked that he knew the answer, let alone the language.
The man’s smile widened, “What did I say to you Duo?” he asked.
“You said you were my father.”
“What did you say?” Lady Une asked, surprised she had found a voice. Duo slowly turned his head to her, his eyes wide, but calm. “I said I have no father.”
“But you do. You have a mother too.”
“Oh yeah, then where the hell where you?”
“That doesn’t matter,” Heero injected, “What matters is how he got in here and who he really is.”
The man sighed, “If you are looking for a name you won’t find one. I was never given one and I don’t ever plan on getting one. I came here from…we are losing valuable time! It takes too much to explain. Duo, if you would just come with me--”
“Duo’s not going anywhere with you,” protested Heero, tightening his grip around the gun.
“Do you make all of his decisions now?” the man asked.
Heero’s eyes narrowed and he straightened his arms. Quatre’s pale hand placed itself on top of the gun, startled Heero’s gaze quickly changed from the intruder to Quatre, he hadn’t even noticed Quatre walk towards him, and that bothered him. Why was he so focused on this man? Quatre slowly lowered Heero’s arms, the gun along with them. Trowa was standing, worried, a little behind Quatre. It appeared Quatre had quickly moved to Heero, and Trowa had quickly followed him. Quatre’s gaze left Heero to slowly turn to the man.
“What are you?” the blonde asked.
“I am…an angel.” Duo automatically reacted with a disbelieving snort, “Or that’s the closest term I can come up with to describe myself.”
“I see you’re some nut who thinks he can get fame by pretending to be family to war-heroes! Is that it?” Duo demanded.
Lady Une slowly started to inch her way to the door.
“No, what I say is the truth.”
“Oh, really? Prove it!”
The man sighed, quickly removed his shirt and folded his arms into his chest, without crossing them, and concentrated. The ex-Gundam pilots started at him, Duo looking a little annoyed. Une was the first to notice it, since her angle allowed her to see a bit of his back. “Oh my God!” She exclaimed. Then the man claiming to be Duo’s father outstretched his arms and screamed at the ceiling. Massive, white-feathered wing pushed their way through his back and spread out to his sides. Then his intense eyes stared directly at Une, “God indeed.”

Wufei started at the wall. The man had gone long ago, Wufei wasn’t sure where or when he went. He was just starting, dimly at the curved dark stone wall. Her body rubbed itself against his. Somehow she kept him hard enough to force him inside of her body. In and Out. In and Out. The rhythm pounding in his head, her moans and grunts cutting him like a knife. He would have been crying but that had passed, now he just stared dimly at the wall, willing it to be over.
Dried blood caked over his skin, with every motion she made the cuts that lined his body scream. His body ached and exhaustion loomed over his head, but he kept his eyes open, staring at the wall.
Finally she screamed, signaling that she would at least pause, to savor the moment following her pleasure climax. Wufei felt like he was going to be sick, but throwing up had passed too. To his great relief she removed herself from him, stood, legs a little shaky, and bent down to pick up her robe. She slowly redressed and pushed back her sweaty hair. Wufei still stared at the wall. She turned back to smile horribly at him, “Don’t worry little human, I’ll be back.” And she left. Wufei wasn’t sure where she went, or even how she left the room, he was staring at the wall. It didn’t matter, she was gone. Maybe he could get some sleep; slowly he closed his eyes and threw himself to unconsciousness.

“No! God isn’t real and nor are His angels!” Duo cried, panicking.
“Duo?” Quatre asked tentatively.
“No! This isn’t happing!” Duo pressed his hands to his temples, his long fingers slipping inside his hair.
“Yes it is, Son!” cried the nameless angel.
“I’m not your son! I DON’T HAVE A FATHER!” He screamed, pick up a chair and threw it at the angel. The angel easily ducked it and it crashed to the wall, leaving a huge dent.
“Duo…” Quatre began, but he trailed off. Quatre and Duo were the only ex-pilots in the room that seemed capable of talk. Trowa and Heero just stood dumbly together at the corner of the room, staring at the man coolly. Une had turned a very sickly shade of white and was sitting almost fetal on the floor, her back pressed firmly against the wall. The angel stood, still shirtless, his white wings tucked behind his back, out of the way, his arms crossed against his chest. Duo stood a little hunched, his body moving up and down with his deep breathing. He straightened himself and started at the man, beautiful eyes screaming hatred. The man started to say something calmly in Adam’s Tongue, the Pure Language. “Speak their language!” Duo spat.
“You know it is true, that is why you are so angry.”
“Shut-up you son of a bitch.”
“Don’t call your grandmother that.”
“I said shut-up!” Duo screamed, he yelled something in Adam’s Tongue, a black jagged knife materialized in his hands, he rushed towards the angel and shoved the knife into the latter’s stomach. The angel hunched over, but no blood poured from him. Duo glared furiously in his father’s eyes, eyes that were just like his, expect they showed pain and conviction. Duo realized what had just happened, his eyes softened and he felt like crying. Slowly he pulled the blade from his angelic father and turned walked a few step before collapsing on the ground. The blade dropped and Duo’s hands reached up to cup his face. The angel hunched and fell, clutching his stomach and stayed there a few seconds, before standing up. Quatre stood, shocked, and noticed the angel didn’t have even a small scratch on his stomach.
“I’m not a human Duo; you can’t kill me like you killed those girls. All those girls, in the past and in the present. Peggy McHerald, Kathleen Hondious, Chastity Carthy, Pauline Nickel, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride, Katrine Eddowes, Mary Jane Kelly…”
“Wait! Those names. The first three were the victims on Duo’s colony, but the others…the others…they were the prostitutes killed by Jack the Ripper, thousands upon thousands of years ago.” Lady Une finally spoke from her spot on the floor.
The angel smiled, “When that Jew was blamed, Kosmimski, Duo and Lorelei laughed for days about that. They thought it was a perfect display of human stupidity. Of course at the time, neither of them were called that, but they are now. Unlike me, they wanted names.”
“Are you saying Duo was alive back then?!” asked Quatre, “That’s impossible.”
“You are willing to believe his father is an angel, but not that maybe he is one as well?”
“No,” Duo began.
“Don’t start that again, Duo. Every minute we waste here is one more minute Lorelei has Wufei.” Everyone in the room glanced quickly at the angel, Duo had to turn his body around to face him. “I need to explain things to you, but…but there isn’t enough time. We need to go save your friend, Duo, at least before he gives up the power that is inside of him. It’s extremely important that she doesn’t have him as long as she wants. If she gains control of him everything is doomed. I…I need your help, Duo. You’re the only one who can control her, even a little. She’ll listen to you; she’s entirely smitten by you, in her own way. You hurt her when you left and she found the burning lust too much to handle. She’s not as strong as you are when it comes to controlling it. I’m sorry for that. If you don’t help me, Wufei is lost. She’s doing horrible things to him, Duo. We have to save him.”
Duo stood up. Quatre looked at him horrified, pushing back tears. Duo glanced at his old friend and flashed the Arabic a reassuring grin, then turned to his father. “What do you want me to do?” Duo asked.
“Just take my hand.” The angel reached out his hand, Duo took it. There was a blinding flash of light that radiated from their hands, forcing everyone else to shield their eyes. When the others in the room looked again, father and son where gone.
