| Daily Dose of unre-read Stupidity #73.9 to the nth power | |||||
| All right, so I'm having a hard time thinking up something stupid to write about. I've attempted to start this Dose about three or four times now, and obviously I haven't gotton very far, except to move the mouse over to the text, highlight it, and proceed to erase it. So, you are going to have to put up with the random synapses that are being connected and the electrical impulses that end at my fingers and proceed to type on this keyboard thingie here... Well, here goes: Um.... Let's see.... So, gas prices are pretty high... It's really hot here today and I'm sick... not only just sick of the humidity and hottidy -- ok, so hottidy is not a word, but that's the way my brain works, so deal with it -- but I've also got a cold. Not cold as in the opposite of hot (would that make coldity the opposite of hottidy?), but as in my head is stuffed up and my throat hurts and my ears are going kind of whacko with that whole "we're-gonna-make-it-sound-as-if-you-sound-to-yourself-like-you're-in-a-room-full-of-cotton" thing. Wow, have you ever tried to type hyphens in the place of spaces? It's not very hard. I had to backspace that statement a bunch of times... Hmm... So, now that we've talked about the weather and my health, what else should I tell you? Well, I think that I'm not going to proofread this Dose before I send it out. See, usually I read back over them and fix any noticable errors that I find... But I've decided that today I'm not going to do that, to as to be true to the nature of this one... so if my brain, courtesy of my fingers, decides that it wants to work in wonky ways, then you're just going to have to deal with that, too. So... I'm sitting here chewing the last of the ice cubes in my water glass and munching on some popcorn that's been sitting on top of the fridge since yesterday. Actually, I kind of like stale popcorn. I mean, it's a little more humidity-ified (another of those great words only random electrical impulses in my brain can produce...) than normal, so it's really chewy... and I'm not a big fan of having to chew my popcorn, so maybe I'll go back to the ice. Well... Are you getting sick of this random stuff yet? Because if you are, I wouldn't be offended if you decided to delet this e-mail right now. Trust me, not everyone appreciates the random rambling of my ... hmm.. is there a synonym for "brain" that starts with an 'r'? Because if there was, I could have put it in there to keep with that alliteration thing I had going on. Oh, well... I figure two or three more random thoughts, and then I'm gonna send this out... Sigh... My shoe plant is dying. Did I ever tell you the story of Dan's shoe? Ok, so it's not Dan's shoe, but it's got Dan's number on it. How do you know it's Dan's number? you ask... Well, I answer, because on the side of the shoe is inscribed: "If found call 842-7201 ask for Dan". Now, I figure that none of you nutzos are going to call him, so I'll leave that number on here. And, if you do decide to be so stupid, don't mention that I gave you his number... Anyway, so I called Dan, but I ended up talking to Dan' brother, who went to school with Tony Schultz. He asked if I was pulling some kind of joke, and I told him that I was wondering the same thing. Oh, so I called again, and talked to Dan's dad this time. Eventually I called back and talked to Dan. He asked the question that everyone else has asked me, and I'm sure you're wondering about: How did I get Dan's shoe? Well, I was driving along Wausau one night, and I saw this shoe. Now, it's a good looking shoe, and I figured I could plant some plants in it. So, Mindo hopped out and picked it up. Now, I don't know about you, but I don't go writing my name and number on my shoes in case I lose them on the sidewalk... But, it's not Dan's shoe, anyway. Just one of his friends pulling a prank. So, that's the story of Dan's Shoe that really isn't his shoe at all. Hmm... I guess this Dose did turn out to have some sort of stupid story in it anyway, other than me just typing about nothing in particular. So, there you go. Hope you enjoyed this Dose today. Because if you didn't, just remember that I warned you before that you could abandon it. But now it doesn't matter anyway, because I'm done with this one. -Sarah |
