Chapter 5: The Battles Continue Cori, Fay, and Lavia ran the 5 Turtles through a quick lesson on the ships. "So, you think you can manage them?" asked Lavia. "Piece of cake." said Donatello. "No problemo here." said Raphael. "This is gonna be fun!" said Mikey. "It's uh, gonna take some time getting used to." said Leonardo. "How do you change speeds again?" asked Venus. Cori sighed. "Listen, blue dude right there is right; it's gonna take some time getting used to, but you'll learn it." she said. "You just gotta learn how to keep in sync with the rest of the crew. Never forget to use the communicators. We all travel at the same speed, and we'll announce it over the communicators." said Lavia. "What's this for?" asked Raphael as he pointed to a large, red button. "Never press that button unless you're instructed to by Max or Rita." said Cori. "And we mean, never." said Fay. "Why?" asked Mikey. "That baby will set you off at the highest speed available in this machine, and it's very difficult to stop." said Lavia. "Not only that, Max is afraid that it might break the time barrier one day." said Cori. "What about this button?" asked Venus, as she pressed a yellow button. "Duck!" yelled Fay. A huge laser beam shot out from the front of the ship Venus was in, and hit the wall as everyone ducked. After a few moments, everyone stood up. Venus looked startled. "Happy now? You've discovered the laser button." said Lavia. "Oh." said Venus, blushing in embarrasment from her mistake. Suddenly, a loud siren was heard blaring through the speakers in the ships' hangar they were in. "What's that?!" asked Leo, wincing from the loudness of the siren. "It means another attack! We hear that thing at least twice a day!" said Fay. Cori picked up her portable communicator from her belt, and turned it on. "What's up?" she asked into it. "Tirus has just entered the Yutrika67 dimension. Now, because of how he likes to play vortex tricks, I can only let five of you go." said Max over the handheld communicator. He had turned the siren off by then. "Sure, we're right on it." said Cori, then she turned off the machine. "Okay, Max wants a team of five to go to this dimension. Who's up for it?" she asked. "Not me." said Venus. "I think I'll sit this one out too." said Leonardo. "Chickens." said Raphael to himself, referring to Leo and Venus. "I'll go." "Same here!" said Mikey, eager to try flying a ship. "Okay then, it's settled. Close your doors and buckle up. Follow us when we get out of the hangar." said Lavia. "Come on Fay, let's go." Cori, Fay, and Lavia ran towards their ships, jumped in, and turned on their controls. "What do we do here in the meantime?!" asked Donatello over the noise of the whirring ship engines. "Use the elevator and go to Control Room Floor 7!" Lavia replied over the noise. "All right guys, let's do this!" said Cori. The hangar door opened, and the four ships flew out. The door closed behind them. Lavia, at the front, opened a vortex with swirling dark brown light, and they all went into it. The ships traveled fast and smooth through it at speed 9 (475 mph). "Woo hoo! I have a need for speed!" shouted Raphael as they sped through the tunnel. "Calm down Raphael, you need to be focused on a mission like this." said Cori. "Just point me to the action babe." said Raph. "OoOOoo, he called you 'babe'." joked Fay over the communicator. Mikey laughed. "You guys need to grow up." said Cori with a smile. They all came all the way through the dimensional vortex, and into an entirely new world. A huge billboard read, "Babies For Sale!" with human babies sitting around smiling, while a mutant dog played with them. "Now that's twisted." said Lavia. "Tell me about it. Where we come from, it's the other way around!" said Mikey. "Well, whaddaya expect? Different worlds, different . . . lives." said Cori as she looked at the sign kind of funny. "Max, we successfully reached the dimension." said Fay over the communicator. "Excellent!" said Max. "Now where are Tirus and his beast dudes?" asked Cori. "Well, Rita's trying to get a lock on them right now. It's kind of hard." said Max. "Well, we'll just land in a secluded area and wait for your instructions." said Cori. "I don't know. I kinda feel like they're right here." said Lavia. "But it can't be. I don't see no one anywhere 'cept some dogs walkin' their . . . humans." said Raphael, finishing his sentence with the sound of disbelief in his voice. "Lavia's right!" exclaimed Rita. "What?" asked Cori. "They're right there! Ready your lasers, you guys are surrounded by Tirus' army!" exclaimed Rita, getting panicky. "But I don't see . . ." "BOOM!!!" A powerful laser struck Cori's ship, leaving it with a mean dent, and a shaken interior. "Whoa!" she exclaimed. "Put up your forcefields!" Lavia ordered to the rest as she did the same. "Fire back! You need to ward them away from the dimension!" said Max. "Fire at what? I don't see anyone!" said Mikey. "Use your tracking device, set it to 'T'." said Fay. Mikey did so, as did the rest. "BOOM!!!" Another powerful laser hit Mikey's ship, causing it to shake violently, and begin losing power. "Come on guys, fire!" shouted Lavia as she fired at some of Tirus' ships. The ships then came out of hiding, and were all over the place. Raphael started firing at them, and blew 3 of them up. One of the ships began coming for him, so he swerved to the side, and flew to behind the ship, which wasn't as fast as his, and fired at it, blowing it up. "We're winning! Yes!" said Mikey as he fired away, blowing up 3 more ships. "This is too easy." said Cori. "Way too easy." said Fay. "Something's up." said Lavia. "I agree, and I know why too." said Max. "Why?" asked Cori, Fay, and Lavia together as the continued firing at the ships with the others. "Because Tirus is downtown in a building, and the pulse signal sent out is turning red, hurry!" said Max. "But what about these ships? They could cause some serious damage!" said Lavia. "Think of something! We've got our hands tied here!" said Max. "All right guys, listen up. Tirus is getting his domination on downtown. Three of us go there, two of us stay here." said Lavia. "Good idea, then we can meet back in our dimension." said Fay. "Cool, I'll stay here and fight. I'll help these guys get back to HQ once we're done." said Cori. "Great then, who's comin with me to Tirus' headquarters?" asked Lavia. "I'm havin' way too much fun here!" said Raphael, managing to out manuever, and blow up two more ships. "I'll go. I have a fresh supply of mechanical bombs here." said Fay. "Cool, let's go." said Lavia. "You too Mike." "Right behind you." said Mikey as he followed Lavia and Fay. They then sped away from the scene, and downtown. There, they found a building that had a slight red glow coming from the inside. "Okay Mike, just follow me and Lavia and hover over the building at the same time as we do. Then pull the orange lever on your control panel. After that, speedy away from the scene ASAP, just follow us." said Fay. "Got it." said Mikey. So the three went to hover over the building, which soon began to shake. "Now!" said Lavia. They all pulled orange levers at the same time, and then sped away. Behind them, a huge explosion occured. The sound shook their ships, and made them feel hot inside because of the heat from the fire. "Good work, now let's go check on the others." said Lavia. They went back, and checked on the others, who had left already. "All right, they did it. Time to go back to HQ." said Lavia, and she opened the dimensional vortex, and they all went through. Back at HQ, they left their ships in the hangar, and went to Floor 7. Up there, everyone was talking in the computer room. "Great job you guys!" said Max happily. "Yeah, they really do fit on this team really well." said Cori. "Yeah they do." said Lavia, seeming a bit distant in thought. "What's up Lavia?" asked Rita. "You know, that's about the first time that Tirus has ever pulled a trick on us. Something's up." replied Lavia. "Do you think he found the medallion?" asked Venus. "I dunno. I just know that he's up to something, and I'm not liking it." said Lavia. "I know what you mean. I was kinda different for him to pull a fast one on us. He's getting smarter, and that's not good for us." said Fay. "You all destroyed that building just in time you know. With that distraction of his, he almost had that dimension in his grasp." said Max. "Definitely." said Rita. Fay thought for a good, long moment. "Tirus is going to attack us." she said. Everyone looked at her. "How do you know that Fay?" asked Max. "I don't know. But somehow, it makes sense." said Fay. "That could very well be true." said Rita. "Good thinking Fay." Fay smiled. "Somehow I feel that we're going to get more strange things coming from Tirus." said Cori. "I get the same feeling. And believe me, I don't like it." said Rita. |
