DANCE ACADEMY OF PRINCE RUPERT

NEWSLETTER 2007/2008

#1

Dear Parents and Students,

It was an amazing year of dance with the students excelling at recitals, competitions and festivals and bringing pride to themselves and to our school.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome back the regular teaching staff of the Academy, Ms. Amanda, Ms. Shannon, Peter Witherly, Meghan MacRae and I would like to take this opportunity to introduce Ken Shaw who will be teaching Irish and Jennifer Kloppers who will be teaching an absolute beginner Adult Jazz and Boys only Tumbling,

As always we have two levels of dance training, Recreational for those who might love dance but do not wish to compete they have the opportunity to take exams and perform in our year-end recital; and the DAPR Dance Team for those dedicated dance students who want the excitement of competing as a group and taking part in festivals and competitions.

Each program has different criteria and we would be happy to answer any questions regarding these two programs, please call me at home or we can fully discuss the two choices at registration

This year for your convenience we are having an early registration day so that parents and students can organize their dance year early. A complete list of registration dates is included in the brochure.

For your added convenience payments can be made this year by visa, or debit card, as well as, cheques or cash. As usual we have a number of discounts available based on number of classes, family discounts for more than one child with bigger discounts depending on the number of classes each child takes and a new discount for making one payment at registration in September.

If you have any dance supplies that you would like to sell at registration please put them in a zip-lock bag with your name, telephone number, the cost of the article and bring it to the Academy on the first registration day.

As always I look forward to another year of dance. I greatly appreciate your continued support of the Academy and thank you for trusting our staff with your childs dance education.

If you have any questions or concerns about dance or wish to pre-register, please do not hesitate to call me at 624-3457(studio) 624-9710 (home) or email me at [email protected].

Yours truly,
