We are approaching the end! I always experience such mixed feelings at this time of year! I feel sad that this great class will be moving on, but I also feel excited because I know they will continue to build on the things they learned this year and will be successful in the years to come. They have come so far and it is exciting for me as a teacher to watch them grow and mature.
Believe it or not, we still have some learning left to do. We are going to end our grammar studies on linking and helping verbs. I postponed it from earlier this year because these verbs are based on more abstract concepts and the students have a bit more trouble with them.
In Science, we are continuing with our animal studies. There will be a unit test on June 4. The students will use the 3 packets we did in class as their study guides. The class was also divided into groups and will develop power point presentation on their animals and present it to the class on June 5.
Dont forget about our Field trip this Thursday! Every one needs to pack a lunch. Parents are invited but will need to drive because there is no room on the buses.
We have completed our last unit in Math. The rest of the year, we will work on problem solving and review.
Our kickball tournament is wrapping up this week. Last weeks game was a heartbreaker but we are looking forward to playing Mrs. Koenigs class this week! |
