The character, Dan`Liu, now resides in AC2. She is accompanied by her friend Shabranigdo (Shabby), who more often than not is saving her from one battle or another.. She serves King Prosper of the Kingdom Prosper as an archer, crafter, and Bardess. |

Dan`liu's mother, Danykalla, was found in her early 20's, wandering about with no memory after a violent raid by the Drudged on the Shelters. She was taken in by the Zingari gypsies, where after a time she remembered her past but still could not find her family. She concieved Dan`Liu after a strange event one evening with a man not of Dereth, an elven man, who asked her to name her child, MacTalla. We can only assume that was the man's surname, and so it became Dan`Liu's surname. As for her first name, she was given "Dan" after her mother, and "Liu" after her grandmother, Liusadh, whom she has never met as she has yet to find her lost family. After her mother's un-natural death, she has little to go on in finding her lost family, as Danykalla never was able to remember own surname...Dan`Liu only knows that she is the daughter of Danykalla, who was the daughter of Liusadh.
Dan'Liu traveled with the Zingari for a time learning music and the songs of other people as the gypsy caravan traveled from place to place upon leaving the Shelters, but Dan`Liu felt another path tugging at her heart. She followed the Winds and found herself at Castle Prosper, where she has found kinship and a home. |

Danyka MacTalla is of Scottish-Commanche descent, fourth generation to the United States after her great-grandfather, William MacMillan, was chased out of Scotland for stealing horses from the Royal Stuarts where their horses were being bred in the Highlands. He came to American and married her great-grandmother, a full blooded commanche who's tribe was run out of Texas by the Spaniards for stealing their horses, so their tribe settled in Oklahoma. They had three sons and a daughter. The sons took over their father's burboun business and kept it alive during the prohibition, supplying excellent quality burboun to the "Speak-Easys" until they raised enough money to purchase land in California and built duplexes, becoming financially independent through real estate.
Dany hates horses. She is 44 years old, pictured left, four years ago at her eldest daughter's wedding. She has four daughters, ages 7 through 27, a grandson, son-in-law, and husband that she playfully calls "Scowling Buffallo". She is a surgical assistant in the Pacific NW. |
