Work Experience:

10/01 to 5/02 and 9/89 to 6/93 College of the Desert, Academic Learning Center in Palm Desert, CA:  English and multiple subject tutor for English As Second Language (ESL) students as well students with physical and learning challenges. 

5/00 to 8/17/01   Ramada Express Hotel Casino in Laughlin, NV: Creative Writer/Copywriter.  This marketing position included the creative copywriting of newspaper and magazine advertisements, radio script writing, as well as weekly and monthly distributed marketing offers and publications.

6/99 to 5/00   News West Publishing Company Inc. in Bullhead City, AZ:  Staff Writer/Special Sections Writer/Photography/Public Relations.  As a daily news reporter/photographer and special sections reporter,  this position required extensive public relations and community involvement .  Publications: The Mohave Daily News, Valley Views, The Entertainer, Weekender, Needles Desert Star, Newcomers, River and Road, Beat the Heat, Mature Living and a Century in the Making. 

3/98 to 3/99  Hi Desert Publishing Company, Inc. in Yucca Valley, CA: Contract editor of the Joshua Tree Times.  As editor, this position included news writing, photography, graphic design, advertisement sales, design, extensive public relations, and community involvement.  The purpose of this position was to facilitate a smooth transition of The Joshua Tree Times.

12/95 to 3/98   Joshua Tree Times Newspaper in Joshua Tree, CA: Publisher/Editor/Creator of the Joshua Tree Times.   As publisher, editor, and creator of the Joshua Tree Times, this publication required news writing, photography, graphic design, advertisement sales, design public relations and community involvement.  The Joshua Tree Times was purchased by Hi Desert Publishing Co., of Brehm Communications, on March 31, 1998.

9/93 to 10/95  Cathedral City Senior Center in Cathedral City, CA: Program DirectorProgram director developed and implemented enrichment programs and activities for senior citizens.  The position included column writing published in the Desert Post Newspaper, The Mobile Home News and Desert Sun.  The position also included the writing and design of the Senior Connection, a monthly newsletter.
