TWO RIVERS PASS

The Armies Muster

The graveyard that is known as Two Rivers Pass has become the final battlefield between Balum and Thord.  At New Bern Balum musters his vassals and allies and plans his attack on the weakened Draakheeri army camped in the pass.  King Ulerich and his Nordheimers and Styrlanders have teleported to New Bern to join the Unterlandsdraak and Koellanders.  The army is further reinforced by the army of Oterlandsdraak Elberich marching from Doncaster.  Meanwhile, Thord summons his own vassals and allies.  Sardaar Aekhifv boards the Draakheeri fleet on the Urd river and sails to Stromm where they march to join Thord, while Palamon Kreed, the new Grandmaster of the Dark Templars, sails the Templar fleet down the River Hvergelmir and joins Aekhifv on his march to the battle.  Thord is further reinforced as the Yas Wa’Dak of the Orikhazi has his army teleported to Helsingborg in order to march on the dwaffen.

The Allied army is led by Landsdraaks Heem ven Kolderm and Godek ven Tranderm, King Ulerich Grimnr and Oterlandsdraaks Kingston and Elberich commanding Dranhoom, Nordingen, Offengast, Tergen, Lord Tyranon, LosDak, Lord Mogador, Lord Utgaard, Magnus Stragna, Viktor von Kel, Shortbarrel, Ironhead, Blackforge, Baruns Bardstown, Vandalia, Vorndal, and the Mark of New Bern, 6 ritters, 8 legionaries, 1 griffon, 3 horse archers, 13 auxiliary infantry, 10 einherjar, 4 horse archers, 11 giants, 5 trolls, 9 engineers, 10 clan warriors, 30 knights, 15 sergeants, and 5 men-at-arms.

Unterlandsdraak Balum marches Legion I south across the mountains to take the Dark Forces from the hex 0315.  Balum commands Balon, Nashtin, 11 ritters, 18 legionaries, 1 blunderbusser and 3 lancers who had marched his force.

Six of the Koellander Baruns with 30 men-at-arms marching south with Elberich are ordered to secure New Bern and do not take part in the battle.

Thord commands Darkblood, Azam, Zaku, Azakar, Hatham, Aekhiv, Hadding, Bekan, Oliver, Malaggigi, Raland, Ganelon, 5 beastriders, 6 drow, 15 assassins, 25 slaaneshi, 4 aseeri, 8 ulfendar, 7 templars, 17 brother sergeants, and 17 men-at-arms.  Donziel, Saraxis, Marcus and Gregor the Red (with 4 engineers and 10 mercenaries) hold the fortified Draakheeri camp at 0414.

The Was Ya’Dak has his army teleported to Helsingborg by his lieutenant and marches south towards the Two Rivers Pass and the Draakheeri encampment.  But, amid the smoking ruins of the city of Boden the Yas Wa’Dak had a vison.  The Great Smith came to him and showed him the wrongness of his looting, pillaging and raping ways.  He turned aside from his evil ways and led his servants to the Light.  Determined that the world must be purified by all means at his disposal, the Wa’Dak sent a message to Thord that he would join him at Two Rivers Pass for the final battle.  He did not advise Thord of his vison inspired change of allegiance.  Thus, the Orikhazi marched to Two Rivers Pass.  On the march the Wa’Dak ordered his Styrlander vassals to cross the mountains separatly, Torhenn Redhand to occupy the northern banks of the Laughing River and Rolf Jager to occupy the southern banks of the Silverload.  Wa’Dak commands Yas Wej’Dak, Gow’chi, Captain Hound, 33 trolls, 9 engineers and 14 mercenaries.

Battle is joined

The Armies of the Dark and Light clash once again on the bloody fields of the Two Rivers Pass.  No quarter is asked, none is given.  The main force of the Army of Light led by King Ulerich has twenty lords, fourteen thousand men and dwaffen and one hero by the name of Viktor von Kel.  Blaum’s flanking force has 3 lords and thirty-five hundred dwaffen veterans.  The Sepah Salaar Thord has fourteen lords, almost three hundred Draakheeri truebloods, two heros and six thousand troopers of the lesser races.

The battle is an Allied victory.  The allies have 96 breakthrough troops ensuring the virtual annihilation of Thord’s army.  The Dark Army lost all of its troops except the beastriders and drow warriors, and Hadding, Bekan and Ganelon were killed on the field of battle.  Thord and his lords fall back on their camp.   The allies lost 2 trolls, 4 ritters, 4 einherjar, 4 knights, 2 lancers, 14 dwaffen legionaries, 6 sergeants, 2 horse archers, 4 clan warriors, 1 engineer and 6 men-at-arms.

Thord, Darkblood, Azam, Zaku, Azakar, Hatham, Aekhiv, Oliver, Malaggigi, Raland, 5 beastriders, and 6 drow warriors fall back on their camp which had been fortified by the Templar engineers.  Holding the camp are Donziel, Saraxis, Gregor the Red, Marcus, 4 engineers and 10 mercenaries.  Here the camp is attacked by the Orikhazi.  The Yas Wa’Dak commands Yas Wej’Dak, Gow’chi, Captain Hound, 33 trolls, 9 engineers and 14 mercenaries.

The Orikhazi engineers smash the field works of the Draakheeri camp and Yas Wa’Dak orders the assault.  The assault fails.  Thord beats back the Orikhazi and the battle at the camp is a Draakheeri victory.  The Hound is killed along with 5 of his mercenaries, 3 trolls and 5 orikhazi engineers.  The Orikhazi retreat to castle Longstop.  Darkblood, Aekhifv, Urien, Raland and Gregor were killed in the defense along with 2 beastriders, 1 drow, 7 mercenaries and 4 engineers.

NIFLHEIM

The remnants of the Army of Boden and ReiksLegion III march north to Moulder Warren and seize the Portal there.  Once in control of the Portal, the survivors teleport back into the Reik.  Terminus marches around the Mountains of Siirt in an attempt to cut-off the survivors.  His route is too long and the Reiklanders’ march too fast and he is unable to intercept the army.  The Reiklanders play BAGGAGE TRAIN and keep their forces in supply.

Captain Wolvius marches north from Boden on orders of the WasDak to seize the Dunklesdraak’s capital of Nergal.  Under cover of the Dark Alliance Wolvius marches through the High Pass and falls in with Terminus’ Army which has set off in pursuit of Stavanger’s Third Legion.  On the march Terminus learns of the Orikhazi betrayel (Wolvius fails his strategic test) and attacks the mercenary company.  Wolvius and his mercenaries are slaughtered north of Siirt by Terminus his Dreadlords and the host of the undead.

Terminus Eldorado marches out of Niflheim through Garm’s Gate and attacks Styrland.  Marching hard and fast, Terminus and his army reach Steinhoom and launch an immediate assault.  Terminus commands the Dunklesratte, Ajatar, Malsumis, Mokoi, Loviatar, 18 ratte-ogres, 6 plagueguard, 13 greater undead, and 67 lesser undead.  Steinhoom (d4) is defended by Torhenn Redhand, Drak Harn, and 34 clan warriors.  Niflheim victory.  Defenders eliminated.  (Niflheim lost 50 lesser undead.)
