SENSITIVITY and RESOLUTION OF SOME FILMS ( logaritmic skale )
written october 1984 (when digital cameras were still a dream...)
Curve of inverse square proportionality for imaginary equivalent films
(quadrupling the sensitivity cuts in half the resolution) and distribution of real films.
Reference films: Agfapan 400 or Kodak Tri X (400 ASA, 100 línes/mm, big star).

The Agfaortho 25 is for the Sun best suited (photosphere)
and ideal for this use, since his low sensitivity is an advantage in this case.
The Agfaortho 125 is replaced with advantage by the TP-2415,
which has higher speed and higher resolution.
The Panatomic X is not suited for lunar and planetary photography.
The Agfapan 100 and 200 are also replaced with advantage by the TP-2415.
The Royal X Pan is inferior than the Vario XL, which has better sensitivity and resolution.
The Vario XL is a very interesting film. It has lower resolution and contrast than TP-2415,
but it has a 10x higher speed, and a great exposure latitude.
It makes possible to photograph the planets with 10x shorter exposure times than TP-2415
