This fire broke out a couple of days ago. Julian and I were playing Battlefield when Jose (pictured
presenting the fire) called us and told us that people were gathering to see this blaze. So we went
along with the general populous and amassed by the Everglades. On the way to the fire, you could see the billows of smoke from many many blocks away.
The place was packed with people, most of which were commenting to one another about fires and fire extinguishing procedures as if
they were specialists. Many seemed to be having fun eventhough the fire had the possibility of claiming many newly constructed
houses...including one belonging to my step-brother.
The fire wasn't high at all, but when
the wind came along, it would twirl the flames and create these "flame tornados". I thought the spectacle
was beautiful, yet destructive.
We left when the cops started pulling people out and walked along to another side of the fire
and we found lots of people just getting closer and closer as if they'd never seen fire. One bunch
of hood rats were actually feeding the fires with large branches.
In the last two pics, you'll notice a really dumb person getting very close to the fire to take
pictures with his phone cam...yeah that's Julian.
