I have been resistance training for 14 years. I begun training when I was 18 at a body weight of 157 pounds. Currently, I stand 5'7" and weigh 212 pounds. I believe that enduring mass is built with hard work, sweat and pain. Therefore I train in Dorian Yates' style of heavy weights and low reps. Typically, I follow a 3 on 1 off, 4 on 1 off style schedule. However, if I need an extra day off I will take it rather than risk overtraining.

The American Bodybuilding site is very good for contest coverage. It has a number of excellent links. Additionally, it is privy to some juicy bodybuilding gossip and/or news from time to time.
The harcore bodybuilder's bible is FLEX magazine.
