The Person I Admire the Most

It may sound silly; still, I regard myself as the person I admire the most. Actually, I believe that this should be so for everyone. In my point of view, each individual is unique; thus, his or her life is as speical and precious as any others' are. However, to be honest, my life is the most precious one to me because it obviously determines how I live. Then, who is responsible for my life? Of course, I am; therefore, I should be the one I admire the most. Now, let me talk a little about myself. I am a high school student; besides, I am seventeen. I go to one of the most prestigious schools in Korea; moreover, I'm planning to enroll in a university in the U.S. I used to prefer playing sports, such as soccer, basketball, and badminton, to studying; nonetheless, I did enjoy studying math, physics, chemistry, and economics. As a new semester began, I resolved to be enthusiastic for my academics; hence, I became a new man! Nowadays, I enjoy studying the humanities, which I used to think were boring. Furthermore, I no longer doze in any of my classes; instead, I am participating actively in discussions! I thank Ralph Waldo Emerson for his quote, "nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm," which was the source of my resolution. Now, with my enthusiastic attitude, I am confident that I can lead a successful life. After all, I am the one who is responsible for my life.
