Dan's Cybermaze - Secrets
Maze Home | Tips | Maze Links | Finish | Secrets

You've made it! Congratulations! Hope you've had fun.

Here's some interesting things about Dan's Cybermaze:

• Finish Page - If you are inclined to hack, you could take a guess that the name of the page for the Finish is "finish.html." Type it into your locator for a short cut? Nope. It leads to a dummy page.

• Trick - As you are hot on the correct path to the finish line, a link takes you to a page xxxx.html. Its options point to page "0246.html" which is the Right option from the starting page. It starts you down (or back down) a dead-end tree far away from the correct path you were on. And the visited link color on the xxxx page is in blue so you don't even suspect that you have not been to those page yet. Sorry, I just had to do it. (Actually, when I first created the maze in 1998, I had 4 or 5 links to the xxxx page. But I get nicer as I get older.)

• Home - On most pages of the maze, you have the option of clicking Maze Home to get back to Dan's Maze home page. But did you notice, when the link simply reads Home, it takes you to another "home"? How many of these places did you end up?: Home Depot, HomeBase, Hometime.com, hometips.com, homehome.com, homerun.com, Home Sweet Home, and the president's home--The White House.

• Graphic Simplicity - If you're wondering why most of the pages in this maze are so plain and free from fancy graphics, it's intentional. I specifically made the pages simple to make maneuvering through the maze fast. But as you've noticed, many of the dead ends have some graphic elements to make the maze more interesting.

Thanks for playing!
