Duties include: Editing copy, designing pages and selecting/editing photos for the Local & State and Lifestyle sections daily. Designing pages in these sections is accomplished using Quark Express and NewsEdit Pro. Daily communication with the publisher, writers, as well as all editors is vital to the job. Daily budget meeting attendance and participation is also a responsibility.
August 1999 to August 2000
Music Writer for Flash!, Middle Tennessee State University's entertainment publication.
Duties include: Reviewing music from various styles of music and artists, commentary on the music world and the industry's place in it. Research and analysis are included in the assignments. Work with the editor is also necessary to ensure quality. Listening to the editor's comments and making changes are also vital.
