When you read of my joy

Of my pain, my lack of courage

My sadness, my strength

My hearts very desire



Can you see my face

When you get the image

That I have tried to portray

Do you see the inner most

Parts of my soul?



Can you see my face

In the words of this poem?



When you get to the end

And wipe the tear that falls

Or smile at the memory it brings

And you see what the message was



Can you see my face

Or do you see your own

Reflected in the words

In the images, in the story

As you feel what I feel
