They whip around in my mind
Bubbling in the back of my throat
I clamp my jaws tight so they won't escape
These words that would say so much
Can you see them when you look into my eyes?
Do they swim in these depths of blue?
Do you feel them when my fingers trace your face
Does my touch communicate to you?
I say them on the phone as I always have
As I do with all my friends
Do you notice the difference now?
Can you hear the feeling in my tone?
I can't say why I am afraid to speak them to you
I say them to my mirror, practicing
I try to show you what I want to tell you
Can you tell that I love you?
