| There are three rooms and three teachers dedicated up to four days per week to after school tutoring. There are 75 students in shishmaref enrolled in after school tutoring with up to 23 attending 6 or more times per month. The children receive nutritious snacks of fruits, vegatables, juice and other favorites. Tutoring focuses on Language Art Skills and Math. Home work is completed and they receive one on one attention including reading out loud. Parents, teachers and staff all consider the After School Tutoring Program a vital link to giving students the ability to maintain and advance thier educational skills and levels. |
