The Purpose of this class is to provide an opportunity for students improve thier language art skills by doing research, learning about how solid propellant rockets work and folling assembly instructions to build them. |

LEFT, Students study about the Alpha III rocket they are going to build. The graphics at the top of this page from the educational center explain how solid rockets work and this one is simmalr in function to boosters being used on the space shuttle today. |

RIGHT, our class looked up several sites with bigger rockets available. Everyone including the instructor wants to build one of theses but it will take more funds and the instructor will have to get a special liscense rating in the future. |
