Have you seen Hostess Twinkee baseball cards listed in Beckett in Mint condition for $1.00 each? Ha , Ha. They must be joking! These cards are so scarce they make 1952 Mickey Mantles look like commons. The Twinkee cards were used as the cardboard bottoms in two-packs of Twinkees. A cardboard bottom , two twinkees , and a cellophane wrapper. Each card now bears witness to one reason why Twinkees are called "junk food" , big oil stains soaking into the cards , caused by direct contact with the oily baked delights. I want some of these cards in Mint condition , but have never seen one. In fact , I have found Twinkee cards only four times in eight years of serious oddball collecting.
