COMMENTS ON BASEBALL CARDS
M stands for Magazine. Perhaps you have seen sheets of cards as inserts in magazines. M-Cards are one of the categories in the first card catalog of 1960 , by Jefferson Birdick. This category also includes cards inserted into newspapers and books. Today the only M-Card issuer I know of is Sports Illustrated For Kids. I would like to make a collection of these and have so far found a few hundred in magazines and books. Too bad the Beckett catalog declines to list any of these, I wonder why.
