Songs from Isaiah 6

The seven songs from Isaiah 6 began as an effort to fuse the contemporary worship song with the traditional anthem, using basic principles of classical composition. Each song consists of a simple vocal melody, an evocative accompaniment and one optional instrument. The songs are designed for use by varied combinations of soloists, choirs, and congregation.

Each song can be used individually as a chorus, liturgical response, or choral anthem. An ideal performance of the songs would be as one continous worship service. In this context the Isaiah 6 worship pattern would be as follows:

Revelation: "Holy Lord, God Almighty"

Adoration: "O Lord, Be Adored"

Confession: "Lord, Have Mercy"

Expiation: "Faithful and True"

Proclamation: "God Alive"

Dedication: "All is Yours"

Commission: "In Your Name"
