Michelle's Story
OK, let me go in order.  Danny played last night at the Cafe Eleven in St. Augustine, FL.  I was really tired after work and wondering if I should go or not.  When I got in the car after work, "Good Vibrations" was on the radio.  OK, so not as clear of a signal compared to if "When the Lights Go Out" was on, but I got the picture.  So, I called a friend to go with me.  I'm so glad I did!  Just a little beachside cafe, they have a full restaurant, beer & wine and desserts.  Seating outside and inside.  Very quaint and personal.  I loved it.  We were actually sitting on couches sipping wine watching Danny perform.  I never would have pictured it!  Maybe 40 people there.  Very small.

First of all, they had promo t-shirts and tanks that say "I'm a DANNY WOOD girl!"  So cute.  And just during this month's promo tour, he's selling an acoustic version of the album.  So, I picked that up.  It's sweet.

He played the same set he did in Crystal River, FL a couple months ago.  Except this time for a few songs, he sat down with the band and played some guitar.  They were having some audio probs and Danny's mic was crackling and turned down.  He didn't realize till the end of the song and he says "You couldn't hear me during that song?  I was just singing for myself?  What were you clapping for then?"  Funny.  And his road manager is sitting on the side of the stage.  Danny stops between songs, and says "This guy right here, he knows more about boy bands than anybody I know.  He knows more about me than me."  And he's saying how weird it is that he's wearing a Danny t-shirt.  The road manager says "I left my Jordan Knight t-shirt at home."  Danny goes "Alright, nice comeback."  Unfortunately, Danny, like the rest of the guys, has lost his Boston accent.  He said "weird" a few times before I realized what was wrong.  He didn't say "weiahd."  So sad.  Miami will do that to you, I guess.

After the show, he stayed onstage to take pics and sign autographs.  Those of you who know me know that I am 6 feet tall!  I decided to wear a little bit of a heel too, not even thinking about it.  And, we all know how short Danny is.  So, I hop my tall ass up onstage and Danny gets this wide-eyed grin on his face (soooo cute!) and starts laughing, shows me to his drummer, who is also really tall, and he laughs.  Danny says "Man, you're so tall."  I'm laughing, and he goes "That's ok, I like tall women though!"  He was just too much!  I touched all over his sweaty naked back and shoulders.  It was incredible.  I told him I saw him at the Crystal River show and that he looked a little nervous there, but the show tonight looked more relaxed and did a better show today.  He says "yeah, well, that was my first show. I was so nervous."  So, our man is making some progress!

I just love it when the boys are nice.  Granted, they have never not been nice when you meet them, but it just makes you feel good, you know?  You spend your whole life practically, watching these guys, following them and supporting them in their solo careers.  It would be so easy for them to take it all for granted, and especially want to shun the older NK fans trying to make an independent name for themselves.  I'm so glad that they have stayed true to who they are and are still appreciative of their fans.  What a great group of guys!  But, we knew that already, right?

So, here comes the pictures.  These are really good, better than the ones from the first show.

Go Danny!
