Danny's News Danny won the Male Youth Discovery of the Year Award from the Hollywood Women's Press Club. It's his first award!!! But he can't get it by himself. Because he's filming the second movie of Harry Potter. Danny, Rupert and his friends are now filming the movie Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets 2002, due to show on 15th November, 2002. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HOLLYWOOD -- According to Robbie Coltrane, little wizards can be little imps. Coltrane, who plays the gamekeeper Rubeus Hagrid in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, says the film's star, Daniel Radcliffe, is quite a prankster. "Daniel is a technology wizard. One day, he translated all the text messages on my mobile phone into Turkish," recalls Coltrane, who also stars opposite Johny Depp as a Scotland Yard detective in From Hell. "Getting in to a cellphone memory and translating it back into English wasn't easy. At one point, I thought I was going to have to find someone who spoke Turkish to set it back." Radcliffe had the crew in a tizzy the day he came to the set with bloody bruises on his face. "He told us he'd been in a fight. It was actually plaster that he had painted red, but the makeup girl had minor heart attack before she figured out it was a hoax." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A magazine reports on 17th FEB, 2001, that Daniel Radcliffe has landed a 1-million-pounds deal to star in the sequel "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," and that he could be in line for 10 million pounds of all seven of JK Rowling's planned books are filmed. Studio chiefs fear the 11-year-old's resemblance to the teenage wizard will alter as he ages. His voice could also break and they have moved quicklt in deciding to start the second movie only weeks after finishing the first one. "Daniel has proven himself a brilliant young actor and perfect for the part. It's a race against time, they know they must make the second film this year." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In anticipation of the movie's 16th NOV, 2001, release, Harry Potter and his friends appeared on the covers of many popular magazines including "Entertainment Weekly", "Nickelodeon", "Vanity Fair", "Premiere", "TVGuide", "16", and many more.
