Why Love?
I felt that this topic needed to be explored, because it is so broad and yet it is universal. I really liked the idea, and recently have fallen in love; so, it seemed fitting. Also, I felt that I needed to tell some of my family members and friends how I felt about them, and this seemed to be the best way to do it. Overall, I am trying to get people to open their hearts a little more and spread the word that love is within us all.
Dictionary Definition:
It is important to understand the literal or dictionary meaning of any word or subject that is under analysis. The dictionary definition can collaborate the norms or expectations of the speakers of the language that the audience most likely speaks in the home. Dictionary definitions generally serve as a good starting point for a literary study of a word, its meaning, and its context
Paradise:
This story represents a case of love at first site. The story is an account of two people that fall in love far away from both of their homes. They meet by chance, and share only a week together. However, they share more in that week than most do in a year. The imagery in the story comes from the context of the setting. I love talking about the ocean due to its vastness and its power. This is a major symbol of love for me, because the ocean is the setting in many traditional love stories. Seascapes are important scenes in the love story, so I used the ocean to describe many aspects of the story. In contrast, I chose to speak of the desert as a desolate place, without love. This is important to understand that the heart can be very dry at times and others it can be filled with the vast force called love. I also tried to include the fact that love is everywhere by writing the section about the people of Mexico and their form of love. The pictures on the page reflect the imagery used in the story. This is a very touching story, and all of the setting, imagery, emotion, thought, and love add to the meaning and plot of the story.
Destiny:
This story is actually a sequel to the first. I chose to write this story to give lovers hope for the future. If the heart is strong and the love is right, it will endure. This story is account of true love and happiness. The two from the first story get married and have a child together. In my opinion, except for the love for God, this is the truest and most sterling form of love. When two people join together for eternity, and are blessed with a child, they will share so much happiness, triumph, and hope that they will be bonded very tightly. I feel this is the key to happiness: meeting the right person, falling in love, praising God for blessing the meeting and the relationship, getting married, having children, and providing for the family the best that one can with the means available. The imagery in this story carries over from the first also. I felt that the imagery I used in both of these stories really added to the setting and the plot. I hope that everyone enjoys these stories, because I really enjoyed writing them.
Pets:
Love for a pet is a very different kind of love. It is unconditional and everlasting, and yet it is different from any other kind. I think it is due to the fact that animals can�t argue or cause too much trouble. In love between people, some amount of argument takes place, but with an animal one can always share great times and pour out their emotions. These poems are dedicated to two rottweilers I had that shared a deep love with me. I plan to add more to this page, but haven�t had time to write. E-mail me and tell me what you think.
Family:
Family is a very important form of love, because everyone has it. I will let the poems do the talking for this section. However, I will say that I tried to create each poem so that others can enjoy them, and I hope you do. I included God in this section, because I feel he is the most important family member. I feel this way because God is responsible for all families, and plays a huge role in family and individual life.
Grocery List:
These are some pieces that are required for love. Actually, only some of them are required, but it helps to have more than a few. The list came out of my head, and I know that there are many more items that could be added. If you have suggestions, please send them to me via e-mail. The list is somewhat funny to read; however, many of the items I chose to add are very serious and deserve some deep thought. Especially the item of forgiveness, I feel that everyone who visits this page should forgive someone they love for something they have done. In my opinion, forgiveness fulfills the heart, and therefore I think the public should practice it more often.
